Guillermo J. Hitters is IAPGH’s President for the 2015/16 period. He also holds the title of General Manager for Unimin Corporation’s Energy Division, with a specific focus in Export Markets and Latin American business development. Unimin is the largest non-metallic minerals supplier in the World.
Prior to joining Unimin, Mr. Hitters has held C-Level roles with global responsibilities in multinational companies such as AlliedSignal, Honeywell International and Tenaris. Also, he worked in the inception, funding and development of a start-up company in Argentina (Advanced Organic Materials). He began his career as an Engineer at Dow Corning and has twenty years of experience in the Oil & Gas, Chemicals, Steel and Mining industries. Mr. Hitters is fluent in five languages, has four US Patents and holds a degree in Chemical Engineering from ITBA (Instituto Tecnologico de Buenos Aires), a Master in Business Administration from the University of Texas at Austin and a Master of Arts in Diplomacy & International Relations from the University of London, SOAS.
